Around the farm and my home, I usually have a camera in one hand and a coffee in the other. I enjoy expressing my creativity through different outlets like fashion, DIY projects, and photography. I tried drawing and that didn't work out so well. I enjoy seeing and learning things from different perspectives so I have adapted this philosophy when taking pictures. I am a firm believer there is beauty in everything, you just have to adjust your angle. I also do a happy dance and slight squeal when I capture the little moments, like a loving gaze, the joy kids have while playing in mounds of fall leaves, and the ear to ear smile when someone tells a really bad joke.

I love to take pictures of the country, our farm, and of our growing family. I hope one day my children will treasure the pictures I have taken as much as I do.

I got more serious about photography when Jennings was a baby so I saved up some money and purchased a Canon T3i because of the reviews of being a great DSLR for amateur photographers. I also took a photography class in Regina to help learn the basics of my camera (yes - I didn't know what else to do other than use it in auto mode). The rest I've learnt slowly on my own and I'm not afraid of trying new things like angles, exposures, editing, etc.
